"For most of my life, I've been on a quest to find ways to express myself. There have been many times when I struggled to do so successfully. No matter where I’ve been, I always knew I needed to keep moving forward, fully surrendering to the process.

Fragrances have been a part of my life since I was around fourteen years old. Even then, I had a keen nose for scents, able to detect various smells from a distance. It wasn't until 2018, when I founded Testament Collection, that I realized the full extent of this ability. While fragrances weren't a major part of my life for many years, my love for them was something I always carried with me, no matter where I was.

One thing I know for sure: I've loved anything with a pleasant scent since I became aware of my surroundings. Until 2005, I never had the chance to experience luxury fragrances or perfume absolutes. As time passed, I became increasingly fascinated with the world of scent, which slowly turned into my guilty pleasure. I remember spending my last resources on a bottle of perfume or even borrowing money to buy one. Sometimes, I would even take credit from people who made fragrances accessible to me, setting up payment plans with them. Every payday, a significant part of my salary would go to my perfume dealer.

I can easily discuss fragrances from an esoteric perspective and share my artistic approach to them, which is something our team at Testament London often does. But today, I want to share how I ended up here, what gives me the authority to create a fragrance brand, and how Testament London fragrances come to life.

Since I was young, my dream and escape plan always included living somewhere with wonderful scents. I imagined a place where everything smelled like dried woods, green forests, and wet, chopped pine leaves. This vision came to me after visiting my beloved cousin, who had returned to Romania from Kuwait twenty-two years ago.

Cliché or not, life has beautiful and strange ways of guiding us toward our dreams and passions. In early 2018, when I moved to Dubai, I realized I was exactly where I was meant to be. Everything looked amazing and luxurious, and there was a delightful scent at every step. Until then, I had traveled around the world, chasing olfactory experiences.

In a split second, after experiencing the feeling of being in the right place at the right time, I realized this was the perfect moment to chase my dream. This was my mission, my passion, and my dream job. The name came to me instantly: "This is going to be my Testament to the world—everything I’ve seen, felt, and experienced; everything I’ve learned; all the poetry I’ve read and written; all of the books I love; all the cultural differences; and all the things I can't say. This will be my Testament Collection."

The first fragrances we created in 2018 were designed to encapsulate the contrast between the East, European world, and the Middle Eastern world. They represented the progressive thinking of recent Middle Eastern leaders who have brought together two worlds that had lived separately for millennia and were barely accepting of one another. Our fragrances are a fusion of the conservative, millennial heritage of the East and the modern, nonconformist approach of the West.

This is how Testament London fragrances came to be—a harmonious blend of diverse cultures, experiences, and dreams, bottled to share with the world."
